How to use the Mobile U Portal
Q: Where to access all this great content
A: Decide which content you are interested in and click the link (on the sides of this page)
Q: It asks me for a password, what is it?
A: Ask your hospital’s project coordinator for the password. On the left hand side of this page are your content “playlists” (e,g, critical care, L & D, etc…)-If you want to access any of these, or any other content categories, just click on a playlist and anytime it asks for a password, just type it in.
Q: What if my healthcare system is not a member?
A: If your hospital is not a member of our collaborative, forward this url to a hospital administrator and have them contact us. Joining is easy, includes ALL healthcare personnel, and is subsidized by a federal government grant.
Q: If I don’t have an iPod, can I still play all of these videos and audio modules on my computer?
A: Yes. If you want to play the videos or audio on your computer, just click the playlists under the “Online Multimedia” section and select, a playlist-type in the password and select any of the dozens of vides and they will play right on your PC.
Q: How can I get all these videos/audio onto my iPod?
A: To save any of these videos or audio modules to a mobile device, such as an iPod (or any other device that supports mp4 video or mp3 audio) “Right Click” on the module and then select “Save Target As…” and this will save this video to your computer. If you are using a content management program, like iTunes, select “File” then “Add File to Library” and select the module. It will now be in your iTunes and next time you sync up your iPod, it will be on your device. You can of course then make your own content playlists with this content, the same way you make playlists for music.
